瘤胸熠螢 Lumpy-necked Flasher

形態特徵：體長7.3-7.8毫米。前胸背板有一對顯著的瘤突; 雄螢發光器位於整個第6腹板和第7腹板。雌螢體長7.9-9.0毫米，與雄螢外表近似，複眼較細小，發光器位於整個第6腹板。

分佈地點：梧桐寨河谷

成蟲活躍月份：5月上旬至6月上旬

其他資料：雄螢飛行時發出簡單脈冲式閃光，閃光持續72毫秒、間距110-140毫秒；雌螢通常停留在葉上，只偶爾飛行。香港特有種。被國際自然保育聯盟列為極危。

Morphological features：Male body length 7.3-7.8 mm, pronotum bearing a pair of prominent protuberances ; light organs occupying ventrite 6 & 7 in male; only ventrite 6 in female. Female body length 7.9-9.0 mm, resembles male, but with smaller compound eyes, light organ only covers ventrite 6.

Distribution：Ng Tung Chai Valley

Adult flight period：Early May to early June.

Other information： Flying male displays simple flash pattern composed of repeated pulsations with duration of 72 ms and inter- pulse interval of 110–140 ms. Female prefers to stay on foliage and only occasionally flies. Endemic to Hong Kong. Listed as Critically Endangered by The International Union for Conservation of Nature.
