穹宇螢 Stream Flicker

形態特徵：體長10-13毫米，前胸背板桃紅色；雄螢發光器位於整個第6腹板和第7腹板。雌螢與雄螢外表近似，發光器位於整個第6腹板。幼蟲幼蟲背板後緣有四枚刺突，發光器位於第八腹節兩側。

分佈地點：廣泛分佈於不同海拔高度的天然河溪。

成蟲活躍月份：4-10月

其他資料：雄螢多停留在溪邊植物上，甚少飛行，受光線刺激，會發出簡單脈冲閃光，頻率為7.8 Hz。全晚活躍。幼蟲在溪邊獵食各種昆蟲。

Morphological features：Body length 10-13 mm, pronotum pink ; light organs almost entirely occupying ventrites 6 & 7 in male. Female resembles male, but light organ only covers ventrite 6. In larva, each tergite bears 4 sharp projections from the posterior margin.

Distribution：Widely distributed along natural streams at all elevations.

Adult flight period：April to October

Other information： Male seldom flies, stays on plants growing along stream channels. Display simple pulsation flash when stimulated by light signal. Pulsation frequency 7.8Hz. Active all night. Larva predates on other insects along stream channels.
